The marketing cell of IFFDC pursues the marketing of various products as IFFDC helps its member society in marketing of products like Timber, fuel wood, Fertiliser, other Forest Produces, Medicinal plants, Fruit plants, Nursery plants (seedlings), Poplar ETPs, Micro-enterprise produces (Durries, ropes etc.). The harvesting and marketing committees consisting of Society, Chairman, Secretary, one member from Executive committee and one extensionist from IFFDC site have been constituted. Extensionist / incharge has been given the responsibility of timely production and marketing. Quality and other technical service are being monitored time to time by the marketing cell.
Jankar Development (Village specialist)
The Jankars and a system of broad-based leadership development at the village level have been a key effort of the WIRF Project. These jankars are supporting the groups in their respective fields for planning, implementation & monitoring of the activities. The Jankars are emerging in all relevant developmental fields (viz. Record keeping, crop, livestock, SWC, JFM, Literacy and monitoring etc.). A total of 804 Jankars with 32% women have been identified and trained through various training programmes and exposure visits.
